By connecting members with local programs and addressing social determinants of health, we’re advancing our mission to improve outcomes and promote health equity.
At Oscar, advancing health equity means going beyond the doctor’s office.
We believe that our members’ ability to live a healthy life is shaped by medical care and by access to essentials like nutritious food, safe housing, and reliable transportation. These non-medical factors — known as social determinants of health — can have as much influence on well-being as clinical care. When these needs go unmet, they can create barriers to care, increase stress, and impact long-term health outcomes.
Addressing these needs helps us close care gaps, improve health outcomes, and strengthen the communities we serve. That’s why we’re launching Oscar Community Resources, a new tool that makes it easier for members to get the support they need, when they need it.
"Through Oscar Community Resources, we’re making it easier for our members to find everyday support that can make a real difference in their health and quality of life.”
Oscar Community Resources is a free, easy-to-use tool that connects members with local programs and services designed to support overall well-being. This partnership gives members more than information. It offers access, choice, and the ability to take control of the non-medical factors that impact health every day.
With Oscar Community Resources, members can:
- Search thousands of local programs, from food banks and rent assistance to utility help and transportation services
