Fighting the COVID-19 virus is extremely important right now and we want our members to get tested and treated without fearing the costs. So we’re taking a few steps.
For those of you who need testing, we’ve waived the cost of tests and any visit associated with that test (excluding antibody testing in most situations - see below). This applies to both in-network and out-of-network facilities. It’s important, if you’re feeling symptoms, to know whether you have the virus or not, so you can take action.
For those of you who need treatment, we’ve waived the cost of treatment related to the illness delivered by in-network providers. If you’re treated at an out-of-network facility, we’ll also waive the cost as long as you’ve gotten prior-authorization. You need to have a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 for your care to be covered. You can obtain prior authorization by having your provider contact us as soon as reasonably possible. (There are just a few exceptions and notes which are noted at the bottom.)
In addition to this, we’re waiving the cost of all COVID-19 care delivered through telemedicine for our members. Sometimes it's easier to get care without leaving the safety of your home. So we’re doing what we can to support that.
We know this is a very difficult time across the board. Especially for our members. We do not want financial fears to affect your decision about seeking care. Getting the right help at this moment is most critical.
If you believe you’ve been exposed, you can always reach our Concierge Team for free. They can help you figure out what to do next.
If you’re showing symptoms, Doctor on Call telemedicine is available 24/7 and is also free for members. Our physicians can help talk you through how to take care and where to get help if you need it.
