"Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Stephanie Camaglia Reznick. I'm a board-certified internist and one of the medical directors for virtual care here at Oscar.

In some of my prior videos, I have discussed the benefits of telemedicine services, such as Oscar's Doctor on Call (opens in new tab). You may have seen in the news that, because of the pandemic, the desire to use telemedicine has skyrocketed.

I am excited to say that Oscar is going to be taking telemedicine to the next level by offering Virtual Primary Care.

What is Virtual Primary Care?

Well, it's like traditional primary care except that you interact with your provider mostly from home, or wherever you are, using messaging, telephone, or video encounters.

In this program, you can establish care with your provider virtually because you can make follow-up appointments with that provider and we can order labs and imaging. We can manage many of your chronic medical conditions in addition to helping you with preventative care and day-to-day issues that may come up.

Although in-person care may sometimes be needed, when it is, we can help you coordinate that care. That said, it is amazing how many things we can help you with virtually. We can help you take control of your diabetes, better manage your high blood pressure, or monitor your thyroid labs all from the comfort of your own home.
